Sounder Systems installs, maintains and tests commercial and residential safety and security systems in Massachusetts and employs experienced Licensed Journeyman Electricians and electrical apprentices who take great pride in their work.

LEADERSHIP TEAM

KEITH BUCHANAN, FOUNDER

Keith Buchanan started Sounder Systems back in 1976. As a son of a Weymouth Firefighter, Keith witnessed the importance of life safety systems, specifically fire alarm systems.

Over the years as Sounder Systems grew, Keith’s extensive knowledge of state fire alarm and electrical codes helped the company install, test and maintain high quality fire alarm, security, and access control systems that continue to protect buildings throughout the South Shore, Quincy and Boston area.

Keith’s hard work and leadership of Sounder Systems for over 40 years created the strong foundation the company continues to build off of today.

SEAN BUCHANAN, PRESIDENT

As Keith’s son and a second generation owner, Sean has grown up within the fire alarm and electrical industry. Working as an Electrical Apprentice throughout high school and college, Sean learned valuable experiences on the ins and outs of fire alarm, camera and security systems. Sean graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 2009. Right after college, Sean earned his Journeyman as well as Master Electrician License while working at Sounder Systems. 

Sean has extensive knowledge and hands-on experience designing, installing and maintaining safety and security systems. Sean is able to customize systems to a customer's specific needs in both residential and commercial properties. 

Sean is involved from start-to-finish in customer's projects from the design and permitting process, to installation and final inspections.

MOLLY BUCHANAN, VICE PRESIDENT

Having worked for Sounder Systems since 2012, Molly has filled many roles throughout the company and is well versed in the administrative operations. Alongside her husband, Sean, Molly is always ready to help provide customers with a seamless experience from start to finish on their projects.
